Earthen

One of my favorite spots in Rowland Heights/City of Industry area resides in a busy little shopping center.  Earthen is usually pretty crowded but the service exceeds many restaurants in the area and get customers in and out.  


Earthen has many great dishes, but they are known for their house chicken.  Flavors of garlic, ginger, and soy permeate the meat along with an acidic finish that lightens the dish beautifully.  The chicken lays on a bed of cucumber that soaks up all of the juices.





Don't forget to order some dumplings and a green onion pancake.  The fish dumplings and pork dumplings are very good and the green onion pancake is crispy, chewy without the excessive oil like so many others.
